The infamous Everest Base Camp Trek starts from Upper Phakding. From this place we will follow the DudhKoshi valley and climb up to the bustling Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar- a famous junction for trekkers, tourists, local Sherpa and people hoping to win over the phenomenal Everest . Every foot of this trek will be an adventure and fun is equal ratio. We will be travelling through the crown of the world, through the forest of, magnolia, giant firs and rhododendron. Be at this place in the right time of the year i.e. early autumn and late spring, this trek might be a lifelong enduring memory of joy and beauty.
From the phenomenon Namche will start the real towards the mighty Everest. We will travel at a high altitude viewing and admiring the view if the Everest and head towards the Thyangboche Monastery, which takes around 2 hour of climbing. Standing at the height of 3867m, this monastery is located at the top of the ridge and surrounded by beautiful forest of dwarf figs and rhododendron. This place presents best of itself in the morning, with a spellbinding surmise and proof of purity in the world.
From here we will descend to ImjaKhola and head on to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche and finally get to the Khumbu Glacier after a few hours of trekking. We will then follow the glacier ahead to reach Lobuche, stop for some click and admiration of views of the AmaDablam, Taweche along with some other mountains, and finally hike to GorakShep.
From here can ascend to Kala Pattar at the height of 5554m and to the Everest Base camp. Trek to Kala Pattaris a hard trekking, it fatigues you, makes your lungs cry out loud for more oxygen till you get acclimatized but once you reach there, you will feel all the trouble getting there was worth it. Far from the bustling city, pollution and noise, you will find peace and purity there. The fantastic views of South face of the enormous Mt. Everest will spellbind you for moments. After spending plenty time to admire and capture the beauty of the Everest we will then descend to Everest Base Camp region at the foot of Khumbu ice fall, spend some time there and finally trek down making our way back to the town of Lukla.
Day 01:Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Full day’s sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Return to the hotel.
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m.) takes about 35 minutes. Trek from Lukla to Phakding (2640 m.) takes approximately three hours. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m.) takes approximately five hours. Namche Bazaar (3440m) is surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges and opens out only where it faces the Bhote Koshi. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 05: A day for rest at Namche Bazaar (3440m.) for acclimatization. For acclimatization you walk up to Khhumjung where you can visit a monastery. You can also enjoy the splendid views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, and Kwangde and so on. You may also take an hour's walk up to Syangboche (3800m.) where Everest View Hotel is situated above Namche for an outstanding view of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kusum Kangaru. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3867m.) takes about five hours. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 07: Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4260m.) takes approximately five hours. Dingboche is a beautiful patchwork of fields enclosed by stone walls protecting the crops of barley, buckwheat and potatoes from the cold winds and grazing animals. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 08: Rest day at Dingboche (4260 m.) for acclimatization. There are some breathtaking views of the North face of Ama Dablam and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge as you explore this beautiful valley that leads up to Island Peak. The walk is short with a good chance to relax in the afternoon. You have another option as you can hike up to Chhukum. From here you can enjoy the panoramic views of Island peak, Ama Dablaml, Makalu, Tawoche peak and others. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 09: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m.) takes about five and half hours. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5486m.) via Gorakshep (5180m.) takes about seven hours. Gorakshep is the location of the original Everest Base Camp with the new camp being further up the valley. Now the trail winds through a rocky path and the Khumbu glacier. The view of Nuptse, Lho-La and Khumbutse appears at the front of you. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 11: Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapathar (5545m.) and then to Pheriche (4243m.) takes about six hours. You accomplish an early morning climb to Kalapathar (5545m.) and enjoy the view of sunrise. You can have a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku along with many other peaks. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Tyangboche (3867 m.) takes approximately four hours. Tyangboche is a small village with a famous monastery offering you splendid views of Ama Dablam, lush green hills and river views. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 13: Trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) takes about four and half hours. The walk from Tyangboche is mostly downhill on the main busy trail with a few steep climbs for an hour from the bridge at Phungitenga, near Shanasha. The walk to Namche is very scenic on a long winding path. From Khumjung village another 30 minute walk brings you to the village of Khunde. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 14: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2640m.) takes about four hours. The trail descends steeply for about one and half hours. After that, the path has small ups and downs to Phakding through Monjo. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 15: Trek from Phakding to Lukla (2886m) takes about three hours. Your final day's trekking follows the Dudh Koshi back down to Lukla. Stay overnight in Lukla.
Day 16: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu takes 35 minutes. You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 17: Kathmandu free day, evening we serve with culture show overnight at Hotel.
Day 18: Final departure, transfer to airport
