The Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour is especially designed Buddhism followers. Also, one with interest in Buddhism can book this exquisite trip. This special trip takes you all the way to Lumbini, where Lord Siddhartha Gautam Buddha was born.

Overview

Manakamana Muktinath Tour is all about visiting two of the holiest sites in the country; the Manakamana Temple and the Muktinath Temple.

Manakamana Temple is believed to be one of the holiest temples in the country. For Hindus, the site is known to be a pilgrimage one. The temple is dedicated to goddess Manakamana. The name of the temple suggests as ‘Wishes of the Heart’. Followers of Hinduism strongly believe that visiting and worshiping this temple fulfils their wishes. Among the Manakamana temples, the holiest one ever believed lies in the lap of Gorkha. The king of Gorkha was once blessed by goddess Manakamana after which he was able to gain victory over several small kingdoms and weave them into a single kingdom Gorkha. A special fair named ‘Panchami’ is held every year in this temple and pilgrims from all the corners of Hindu kingdom visit the site in order to worship. Some years ago, it was very difficult to gain access over the temple. But, due to urbanization, cable car has been built over the hills so that pilgrims can visit the site within no time. The cable car at the site is known to be the first cable car ever operated in Nepal.

Muktinath Trekking offers exploration of the famous holy temple of Lord Muktinath. This site is famous among the native Nepalese people as well as the foreigners too. Muktinath lies in the district of Mustang and is situated at an altitude of 3,749 meters about 18 km northeast of Jomsom. The major attraction of this site is the pagoda temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. 108 waterspouts around the wall of the temple are believed to pour holy water. This temple resides on the top of a mountain. The walk to the temple is not so easy. It is believed that people should visit and worship this temple after completing all the four of the Dhams in India.
