The Siklis Trek is one of the adventurous trekking routes in the Annapurna Trekking Region. These days of trekking can be the most adventurous part of your life. This trekking trail allows you the best views of the Kathmandu Valley, tour in the Pokhara City, walking on the shadows of the high range of northern Himalayas and a tremendous view of mountains like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range.
This adventurous and wild trekking route takes you to the Siklis Village of the Annapurna Range. The trail forwards through one of the least explored area of Nepal. The Siklis village provides a spectacular view of the Himalayas leaving trekkers mouth open wide. The trek takes you from low land villages to massive terrains. It’s also fascinating to walk through the forests of Nepal’s National flower “Rhododendron” in the spring time. The Siklis Village is the settlement of Gurung inhabitants. It is the country’s second largest Gurung Village. Here, The Dhamis and Jhakris play major roles in the Buddhist community during marriage, funeral and other occasions. The village lies above the banks of Mardi Khola at an altitude of (1,981m). This is the best spot to view the Annapurna Himalaya Range and Lamjung Himal in the east.
This trek with total days of 11 is a tea-house type trek, where accommodation is provided in tea-house during the trek. The trail takes you from 820m to the highest access of 2,100m. It is categorized under an easy one. The best season to start this trek is from September to November and February to May. But, the trek can be arranged at any month of the year if you like.
Itinerary for Siklis Trek
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport [1,338m/4,389ft] and transfer to hotel to stay overnight
Day 02: Sight-seeing day in Kathmandu. Back to hotel in the evening and stay overnight
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara [827m/2,713ft] by bus about 6 to 7 hours of drive. Hotel overnight
Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Kalikasthan [1,059 m/3,474 ft] and later drive to Bijayapur [784 m/2,572 ft] and then trek through different tribal villages to Kalikasthan. Camping at the top of the mountain
Day 05: Trek from Kalikasthan to Lamachaur [1,059 m/3,474 ft]. Camp or teahouse overnight
Day 06: Trek from Lamachaur to Siklis [1,980m/6,496ft]. Camp or teahouse overnight
Day 07: Trek from Siklis to Ghale Gaon [1,605 m/5,266 ft]. Camp or teahouse overnight
Day 08: Trek form Ghale Gaon to Pokhara. Hotel overnight
Day 09: Sightseeing around the prime attractions of Pokhara. Hotel overnight
Day 10: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by bus. Hotel overnight
Day 11: Final departure
