As the name suggests, Everest Easy/Short Trek is the easiest and the shortest trekking package in the Everest Region. This trek is designed for trekkers who want to have a perfect view of Everest Mountain in short time and without elevating to higher altitudes for some reasons of their own. This trekking route can also fit best for people who are either under-aged or over-aged for other trekking routes. This trekking package lets you breath-taking views of mountain peaks like Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and other mountain peaks. Besides, you can get into the local people’s lives and know about Buddhist cultures.
This trek is also known as Everest Mini Trek. After the flight from Kathmandu Valley to Lukla we begin walking until we reach Namche Bazaar. This place is the busiest among tourist areas. It is also known as the gateway to Everest. This is an active and lively place for trekkers and tourists. A little higher, the ridge above the Namche Bazaar provides the ideal view of Sagarmatha and other mountains of Khumbu.
We will also be trekking to Syangboche. This trip to Syangboche includes various scenic views that will heart-render you. Also we will visit the largest Sherpa Village known as Khumjung Village. This village is another attraction to trek. You can explore the native people, natural beauties, endangered wild lives, exotic temples and monasteries here. Finally we will be returning to Namche Bazaar, the next day to Lukla and fly to Kathmandu valley the next early morning.
Itinerary for Everest Easy Trek
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1,300m/4,264ft]
Upon arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representatives. After completion of official formalities, we pick our luggage and head towards a 4 star category hotel where you will be transferred to stay overnight.
Day 02: Full day Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparations
You will be woken up with a morning call along with bed tea and breakfast. Today, we will enjoy sightseeing around Kathmandu the entire day including visits to some of the major places of the city such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudha and so on. These sites have been listed as World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. We get back to our hotel in late evening and stay overnight
Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding [2,652m/8,700ft]; 3 – 4 hours
After an early breakfast we will be escorted to the domestic terminal of the Tribhuvan Airport. We are going to fly to Lukla today. This short scenic flight offers you superb views of some of the mountain peaks of Nepal. Upon arrival in Lukla, we make a further drive to Phakding that takes about 3 hours by bus. Teahouse overnight
Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazaar [3,440 m/11,280ft]; 5 – 6 hours
Walking through amazingly decorated pine forests, the track before us takes through the Dudh Koshi River passing by several suspension bridges. We gain high elevation in a short time today. Teahouse overnight
Day 05: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
We spend this valuable day with rest. Acclimatization is very important in certain intervals of days. This idea prevents us from getting victimized by Acute Altitude Sickness that can cause serious problems to our health.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar – Deboche [3,820m/12,53ft]; 5 – 6 hours
We start our day with a healthy breakfast and set up our move towards Pangboche. Along with trekking we enjoy superb views of Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and close view of Thamserku. We need to reach Deboche where we stay our night in a hotel
Day 07: Deboche – Dingboche [4,360m/14,304ft]; 4 – 5 hours
While on our journey today, we pass through many chortens, mani walls and small remote villages. After crossing a valley on our way we make a gradual descend after a river and then finally take a steep climb that takes us to Dingboche. Teahouse overnight
Day 08: Dingboche – Duglha [4,600 m/15,090ft]; 3 – 4 hours
The path is elevated today. It’s our destination to climb to Duglha through the Khumbu Khola valley. Places that come in our way are all surrounded by mountain peaks. We come to a yak’s herder places known as Dusa. Now the valley begins to narrow and we ascend to Duglha at late evening. Teahouse overnight
Day 09: Duglha – Lobuche [4,940m/16,207ft]; 2 – 3 hours
We enjoy mountain views from the top of the cliff before us. Then we descend down to the Khumbu glacier moraine. We are now on the laps of Everest Region. We spend this night in a nearby teahouse
Day 10: Lobuche – Gorakshep [5,170m/16,961ft] – Everest Base Camp [5,364m/17,594ft] – Gorakshep; 8 – 9 hours
Beyond Lobuche lies Gorakshep. We come to the north ridge of Everest and watch hidden treasures such as with Mt. Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, and Nuptse. We arrive in Gorakshep. We need to visit the Everest Base Camp and then return to Gorakshep today itself. So we need to hurry and make an early move
Day 11: Gorakshep – Kalapatthar – Pheriche [4,280m/14,070ft]; 8 – 9 hours
This day is the climax of our Everest Easy Trek. We make an early move to Kalapatthar to watch the morning sun rise. Kalapatthar is an absolutely amazing viewpoint that offers superlative views of the surrounding environment along with mountain views such as with Mt. Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, and Nuptse. After Kalapatthar, we trek to Pheriche where we spend our night
Day 12: Pheriche – Pangboche – Tengboche – Namche Bazaar [3,440 m/11,280ft]; 6 – 7 hours
Today we go through various places. From Pheriche, we set up our move towards Pangboche. After then we head towards Tengboche and then further to Namche Bazaar where spend our night at a teahouse
Day 13: Namche Bazaar – Lukla [2,800m/9,186ft]; 6 hours
We walk for 6 hours today in order to reach Lukla from Namche Bazaar. Crossing various suspension bridges of the Dudh Koshi River and its tributaries, light breeze pushes us towards Lukla taking us through lush forests of pine, oak and rhododendron. We stay overnight in Lukla in a teahouse
Day 14: Lukla – Kathmandu
We head to the airport terminal of Lukla with an early breakfast. The weather conditions in Lukla make it difficult to land and take off flights in the airstrip. Due to this reason, flights are run in the early morning. We reach Kathmandu in the afternoon and get transferred to our hotel to stay overnight
Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu
You will be offered with a leisure day in the Kathmandu city this day. You can either go for a short sightseeing tour around the city or even do shopping as per your interest. We get back to our hotel in the late evening and enjoy a cultural show along with a farewell dinner in our hotel.
Day 13: Final Departure
With unforgettable memories taken, we declare an end to our beautiful holiday in Nepal. Our representatives will escort you to the airport before 3 hours of scheduled flight time.
