Jomsom to Dolpo Trek

4 days in Kathmandu, 25 days Trekking, 3 Nights hotel in Kathmandu, Total 29 days trip Reach upto Ama Dablam Base camp and descend, Namche Bazzar, Tyangboche Monastery, Sherpa village

As the name suggests, Jomsom to Dolpo Trek is all about trekking from Jomsom to Dolpo enjoying scenic views all over the way long. It is known that the Dolpo region was opened to tourists only in 1989. The Shey Phoksundo National Park is the major attraction of the Dolpo Region which was established in 1984 in order to preserve the large portion of the area and the wild lives, birds and plants there.

The trek starts as soon as we start trekking from Jomsom and wander through the pine and cedar forests with beautiful views of the Dhaulagiri range behind. The trek provides most of the views of snow-capped mountains, green meadows, high cliffs and ridges to balance the excitement of the trek. When we pass through the Jangla Bhanjyang Pass [4,500m], we know that Dolpo is next to the end of the pass.

At the main part of the valley lie snow-capped peaks and deserted plateaus on the other side. This dry area created difficulties for the local inhabitants and compelled the local inhabitants to trade with the Tibetans for survival. They also grow buck-wheat and barley and actively graze herds of goat, sheep and yak.

Prime attractions of this place like Shey-Phoksundo National Park and Ringmo Lake make your trip to this region an unforgettable one.
