Overview And Highlights

A very popular trekking destination for its bizarre variations, difficulties and adventurous approach along with the loyal and friendly Sherpa inhabitants, Everest Base Camp Trek has been one of the most famous trekking destinations since the very first expedition to Everest Summit in 1953 by Sir Edmond Hilary and TenzingNorgey. Everest base camp trek is a great opportunity to reach to the very base of the third pole. Almost every human dream of conquering the Everest but only a few can, but our Everest base camp trekking can take you very close to your dream of conquering the Everest. The easiest way to reach this place in a limited time is to take the route from Lukla, which takes about two week your time.

The infamous Everest Base Camp Trek starts from Upper Phakding. From this place we will follow the DudhKoshi valley and climb up to the bustling Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar- a famous junction for trekkers, tourists, local Sherpa and people hoping to win over the phenomenal Everest . Every foot of this trek will be an adventure and fun is equal ratio. We will be travelling through the crown of the world, through the forest of, magnolia, giant firs and rhododendron. Be at this place in the right time of the year i.e. early autumn and late spring, this trek might be a lifelong enduring memory of joy and beauty.

From the phenomenon Namche will start the real towards the mighty Everest. We will travel at a high altitude viewing and admiring the view if the Everest and head towards the Thyangboche Monastery, which takes around 2 hour of climbing. Standing at the height of 3867m, this monastery is located at the top of the ridge and surrounded by beautiful forest of dwarf figs and rhododendron. This place presents best of itself in the morning, with a spellbinding surmise and proof of purity in the world.

From here we will descend to ImjaKhola and head on to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche and finally get to the Khumbu Glacier after a few hours of trekking. We will then follow the glacier ahead to reach Lobuche, stop for some click and admiration of views of the AmaDablam, Taweche along with some other mountains, and finally hike to GorakShep.

From here can ascend to Kala Pattar at the height of 5554m and to the Everest Base camp. Trek to Kala Pattaris a hard trekking, it fatigues you, makes your lungs cry out loud for more oxygen till you get acclimatized but once you reach there, you will feel all the trouble getting there was worth it. Far from the bustling city, pollution and noise, you will find peace and purity there. The fantastic views of South face of the enormous Mt. Everest will spellbind you for moments. One who loves travelling most often expresses their will to participate in Everest Base Camp Trek one more time when they fin this place so extraordinary. After spending plenty time to admire and capture the beauty of the Everest we will then descend to Everest Base Camp region at the foot of Khumbu ice fall, spend some time there and finally trek down making our way back to the town of Lukla.

Travel insurance is compulsory for all our clients traveling with our company. The Nepalese Insurance company doesn’t have travel insurance for foreign people so we recommend you to bring the legal documents with you while coming to Nepal. Your travel insurance must cover the loss due to theft, injury, delay; inconveniences or any other and the company should not have any liabilities for your personal loss.

In some of the lodges and trekking houses they provide you the facility to charge your phones and cameras by taking a very small amount of charging fee. But some of the areas might have electricity problems so, we suggest you to bring extra batteries.

There isn’t any age limit to trek to Everest Base Camp. But in some of the villages they use fire wood to boil waters and provide buckets as shower facilities.

It is not compulsory to have a guide but it may not be safe at the higher elevations to travel alone. So, we recommend you to hire a guide and a porter. If you do so there are less chances of getting lost and you will get to know more about the places well. The guide will help to rescue you if you fall sick or injured during the trek.

Tipping is a way of showing gratitude and appreciation. Though it is not compulsory in Nepal. Your small appreciation to our guides, porters, drivers and other staffs will give some positive vibes towards their work.

If you travel with our guide then there is very less chance of getting lost. But if you are planning to travel alone then you might miss the way. There are so many confusing trials where we have to follow our guide carefully.

ATM machines are available in Lukla and Namche Bazaar. But we suggest you to carry some amount of cash with you because sometimes the machines might be out of service.

You will also get trekking instruments on rent in Kathmandu. But we think it is more convenient to use our own instruments. So we suggest you to bring your own instruments if possible or you can also purchase it in Nepal.
